Who we are

About Us

Rossington Hall Group is a local RDA group which has been operating since 1987. We offer riding experiences to clients from Social Education Centres and Special Educational Needs schools and colleges. We also cater for private clients referred to us by their GP or Health Professional.

The whole group, practical and administration, relies on and is operated by a team of committed volunteers and the results are their reward.

Our Base

We are based at the National Horseracing College at Rossington Hall, which is set in wonderful grounds with a woodland and nature environment. Perfect for a gentle hack into the countryside.

Our Riders

Riding for the Disabled offers a wonderful experience for people to reach their full potential. Ofsted recognises the value the RDA activities provide to help to improve our clients, including communication, social skills, numeracy, literacy and confidence. Everyone is equal on a horse.

Our Volunteers

Without the commitment and donated time of our team of volunteers, we could not exist. They are dedicated to helping people with disabilities experience the benefits and pleasures of riding to improve their health and general wellbeing. We are a registered Duke of Edinburgh Award Training Provider with our Coaches taking on this extra responsibility to develop volunteers.

Our Future

Our aim is to develop the Group and incorporate more activities. Thanks to joint working with the National Horseracing College we were able to raise funds and build our own Indoor School. This enables us to always offer our service, no matter what the weather. In the future we are hoping to develop an Endurance programme and extend our non-ridden and Quiet Corner activities.

Our Supporters

RDA Rossington is a totally self-funding independent Charity, offering riding lessons and hacks to children and adults with any type of disability.

We need to raise funds to meet our running costs, such as Feed, Vet Bills, Farrier costs, Tack renewal, Ground maintenance – to name just a few!

We desperately need supporters to help us do this. If you, or someone you know, would be able to help in any way, please contact us – we appreciate any offer of help! Perhaps you have a business that you would like to advertise on our website, with a link to your website?

Maybe you could sponsor a class at our Fun Dog Shows, get a team together to take part in our Golf Days, or help with other fundraising events we organise. Please contact us to discuss details.
