What’s Been Happening…

Christmas Closing Dates Riding and horse care sessions will finish on Friday, 19th December and start back again on Monday, 5th January.

Christmas Party There is a Christmas party planned for our participants on Saturday, 20th December, featuring games and food.

Volunteer Appreciation A huge thank you to our volunteers and coaches who are taking turns to look after the horses over the holiday period.

Horse Care Updates

Farrier Visit: The farriers recently visited to give the horses and ponies a pedicure in preparation for the holidays.
Dentist Check: The horses are due for their annual dental check during the Christmas break on 22nd December.

Site Updates We’ve faced some challenges with our site maintenance recently:

Roads & Car Park: Potholes have reappeared on the road, and the car park has experienced flooding despite previous drainage efforts.
Drainage Work: NHC arranged for a company to dig large channels and install drainage crates.

Halloween Participants: Thank you to everyone who joined the Treasure Hunt on 25th October. Congratulations to Ava for winning first prize for her costume and pumpkin!.

Hay Appeal With 8 hungry horses, we go through a lot of hay over winter. If you can sponsor a bale (£5 for a small bale or £35 for a large bale), please let us know.
